Double chin: deoxycholic acid, Endolift or threads?
Tired of hiding a double chin in photos? Here are the three routes we use, and how we choose between them.
A double chin doesn’t always come from weight. Often it’s stubborn fat that won’t shift even with hard exercise, or skin that has begun to sag with age. That’s why there isn’t one solution for everyone.
When it’s fat: deoxycholic acid
Deoxycholic acid (Kybella) is injected where the fat is stored and destroys fat cells. It usually takes around 3 sessions, and the result shows after about 5 weeks.
When skin is sagging too: Endolift
Endolift melts fat and tightens the skin at the same time, using an optical fibre beneath the skin under local anaesthetic. In most cases one session is enough. Improvement begins after a month and continues for up to 6 months.
When the contour needs lifting: COG threads
COG threads lift the jawline instantly and stimulate collagen for months. Often a combination is best, e.g. Endolift with a few COG threads, for a clean, lifted profile.
Which route is right for you, we decide together at consultation, once we see how much is fat and how much is skin.
